Kaavi Porcini Mushroom Factory Ltd operates in Tohmajärvi, in the middle of pure Finnish forests. We use porcini mushrooms, chanterelles, black mushrooms and funnel mushrooms collected from the forest in our production.

Kaavi Porcini mushrooms grow in the wilderness of North Savo and North Karelia, amidst ridges left by the ice age and pure nature, accompanied by bears and wolves.

Black Trumpet

A fine strong-aroma mushroom, which is extremely difficult to find, the mushroom blends well in to the environment. You may often only notice a group of horn of plenty mushrooms, once you have been treading around for a while.

Chanterelle

The fragrant chanterelle is a high-yielding mushroom, which is present in our forests already during mid-summer. The golden-yellow mushroom only gets better in the drier, the colour and aroma deepen.

Tube Chanterelle

Chanterelle is a high-yielding late autumn mushroom. It is present in groups and often as a large group. Our product is a mixture of Cantharellus tubaeformis and Cantharellus lutescens.

Porcini

Porcini is one of the greatest edible mushrooms. Its smell and aroma are strong, and it’s no surprise that many organism types compete for it. The porcini we use are handpicked and carefully selected, always top quality

Baguard dwarf

Chaco bark collected from the clean forests of Kittilä. The bark is crushed and dried, and does not contain any other substances.

Flavor enhancer, bilberry powder

The sloe powder from the Kaavin Herkkutattitehdaan is a natural flavour enhancer that can be used instead of bouillon cubes, for example. The product is completely vegan, the powder is made from dried sloe chips. The powder is strong and aromatic and can be used as is in food preparation.
